"Det kommer inte att bli någon EU-skatt på sms eller på e-post.
För det första finns det i dag inget förslag om detta.
För det andra krävs det en enhällighet mellan medlemsstaterna för att det ska bli verklighet och någon sådan enhällighet finns inte.
För det tredje ska skatter vara en fråga för medlemsstaterna och enbart medlemsstaterna att besluta om.
För det fjärde finns det ingen grund för att beskatta just sms och e-post, de skapar vare sig kostnader eller tar i anspråk offentlig infrastruktur mer än vad användarna redan betalar. Tvärtom ska modern informationsteknologi stimuleras, inte beskattas."
Låt oss hoppas att Hökmark har rätt...
Han har sannolikt goda insikter i frågan eftersom det är från hans partigrupp som förslaget kommer. Det är lite Ny Demokrati-varning att lägga ett förslag och sedan vara mot det.
